Joyce Meyer Ministry Compensation

May 3rd, 2005  |  Published in FOIA  |  15 Comments

Carolyn Tuft of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch used Missouri’s Open Records law to obtain documents showing that “TV evangelist Joyce Meyer and her family have received millions in salary and benefits from her worldwide ministry in recent years.” The details were included in a property tax dispute involving the tax status of the ministry’s headquarters. Joyce Meyer earned a $900,000 salary in 2002 and 2003, and her husband got $450,000 in each of those years.

She deserves a high salary. So does her husband. They use their lives to help people. And never stop working.

She is just another TV “preacher” living off of the backs of the very people she should be helping. My best friend was a minister and worked hard to save people. He did not need a $2 million dollar house. He was given a house in which to live, but it was no nicer of a house than anyone in his flock. He was a true man of God. Joyce Meyer is a fraud.

Anyone who thinks Joyce Meyer is a fraud does not know the word of God. She speaks nothing but truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 says study to show thyself approved, a workman who needeth not be ashamed. If you read your Bible you would know that she preaches nothing but the true word of God. Your friend may not have needed millions of dollars for his ministry, but did he travel the globe and feed, clothe, and educate millions of hungry starving people.. Probably not.

Joyce Meyer is very political. She blamed 9/11 on Bill Clinton. Not a word concerning the President that was in office when it happened ( GW Bush)and his blunders concerning intelligence. Also , she uses the Bible quotes ,without much education in that Bible) to validate her philosophy about life. The danger is mixing popular philosophy with Bible concepts, thus blaspheming the Word of God. Joyce needs to pay taxes and all the poor who donate should understand that their donations are making their plight even worse, as the Republican Party will help the Rich get richer and the poor be dammed. God will judge these blasphemers.

She is a flat out fraud. Jesus lived the life of a very poor person, yet did far more to help people that ms. meyer. 30,000 children die each DAY of starvation on our planet, while this fraud sucks millions of dollars out of the most gullible people. There is a special place in hell reserved for people like her, let us hope.

As long as Joyce Meyer Ministeries is paying taxes and is within the letter of the law who cares what she takes home. God has blessed her because of her faithfulness to God. Not all of us can say that we have been faithful to the Lord.

Joyce is a role model to the women living today and for the woman to come. They took prayer and the ten commandments out of the schools. Can you honestly tell me that we as a society are better for it? All it took was a threat of a trip down to the dean’s office to get the kids to be quiet what I was going to school. Now kids are killing kids and adults.

Please wake up and see what good Joyce is doing for the Kingdom of God and for the world and stop trying to convict her because she has money.

Joyce Meyer sells books, tapes, and CD’s. It’s not like she exists entirely off of donations. People exchange money for goods all the time, if I were to buy a book about the Civil War, I would not expect the royalties to go to a Civil War museum, I would expect the money to go to the author. With the numerous items that she sells in book stores and off of her website and catalog I can imagine that she makes more in royalties than her salary pays her. Remember she sells her words to help others and I think she is deserving of compensation for that.

Please help. Am trying to get information about Joyce’s conference in Pensylvania in June of 2006. Can’t find that information on the Web. Many thanks for your help.

Joyce Meyer is a wonderful woman of God, who are we to judge her. If you have the spirit of God in you then you will know that she is of God. Her life just like others is a living testimony that God is awesome and that with his help anyone can live a victorious life. Joyce is one of my best role models ever except for Jesus himself, she lives out of a desire to please God and that is why she is so blessed. She is living out her dream and God’s wil for her life, she has encouraged me and God speaks to me through her life and similar experience that I have allso had, and her life example and obedience to Jesus proves to me that it can be done in this modern society! Joyce may have a 2million house on earth but just to let you know that God has much more greater things instore for her life! She is truely a remarkable woman, and holds my dearest respect.
May Joyce continue to live in the Grace and Favour of God our Father!

I am so sad by some of what I have read here. If millions if dollars seems unattainable to you, than I can see why you would assume that Joyce is wrong. It really isn’t such a big deal to be a millionaire. We should all be increasing in our knowledge and skills by the year and be earning more money as a result. For ourselves, our family and to give others. Joyce built her ministry the old fashioned way, hard work. I don’t think Jesus thinks money is a big deal. He proves it in Matthew 26:10-13. It’s only the heart. Only God knows the heart. We can judge actions.
I think people get upset when they see people become wealthy only when they don’t understand how they too could ever live that way. Anyone can become wealthy if they pay attention and work at their own unique gift. It is clear what Joyce’s gift is and she has done the work like the first servant ( matthew 25:14-30)
I am so glad she has been faithful.
You know it’s funny. People think athletes, actors, singers, and other entertainers just got it made. But have you ever watched the special features for a movie? I am amazed at the endless odd hours and inconvenient commitment they put into their work. And the people complaining wouldn’t even help another customer at their job because they already punched the clock! And they wonder why they will never be rich.
The people you see making all the money don’t have hours punched in a clock. They just get stuff done. They are the most creative people we have on this planet. They are the ones who started the company you work for and acted on the ideas that have become the things you use every single day to live life more efficiently and beautifully. I take this opportunity to thank Joyce Meyer and every person who ever breathed that never gave up on their heart and dreams and stepped out of the boat!!!!!!
JESUS ROCKS and so does Joyce.
I was at the annual women’s convention this September and I will never be the same. I am literally changed and have more of a world view.
I am proud to support her ministry and I am proud to support her and if some of my money goes to buy Joyce a pair of earrings or a cup of coffee than hallelujiah praise God and I know He will bless me too.

As a man of God and a fellow in Christ, i believe Joyce has done more to touch and change lives than the money can ever speak for. I understand the constant scrutiny by others, but why we all will not live and love as our Father calls for us to live. To Joyce, the ministry and Dave, thanks for your openess to us all, seeing and hearing how you too live and know struggles, makes a real staement that we can all have our abundance, If, we act by faith to be able to receieve the bounty from the seeds we sow. Time and sacrifice brings FAVOR from Our Lord, and Joyce has been blessed, but remember where she came from to be where she stands today, lets all be on our way to where God wants us to arrive. I continue to pray Gods favor be upon the Ministry and every one that gives their time, and yes, their money, to make such a staement, Our God Blesses them that give themselves to the Work of Building His Kingdom.
