Seven Years of The Scoop

June 13th, 2007  |  Published in Miscellany  |  3 Comments

Permit your sometimes less than humble host a minor celebration: on Monday this site celebrated 7 years of publishing. Sure, the first post (using Blogger) wasn’t much to crow about, but things hopefully have improved a bit since then. Technically, thescoop.org has been around since 1998, but June 11, 2000, is when I started using a proto-CMS rather than simply hand-coding everything. Nobody wanted to see that.

I’m always amazed that people read this, so thanks for being here whether you were present at the creation or just found your way in. Here’s to the next 7 years!
