Welcome, Innovators

November 14th, 2007  |  Published in Journalism

In the past several weeks I’ve noticed some unusual referring URLs showing up in my site stats. The Scoop has always had sporadic visits from internal newsroom sites at several papers, but these were different for another reason. Both of the URLs came from news organizations and have “innovation” in them. The visits came from internal blogs by the Tampa Tribune and Congressional Quarterly (a former employer of mine).

It’s just a shame that these sites are hidden behind firewalls; newsroom innovation needs all of the eyeballs and oxygen it can get. So welcome, TBO and CQ folks - let us see what you’re doing!
