Eight Years and Counting

Eight years ago today I turned on the blog portion of this site. The changes have been many, from platforms (Blogger-GreyMatter-MovableType-Wordpress) to look (various styles borrowed from people actually competent at design) and content. I’ve tried to narrow the focus, but turns out my interests keep changing. So it goes. Thanks for coming along for the first eight, and here’s hoping for many more.

Dude, my entire professional journalism career is only six days older than your journalism blog! That, if you’ll pardon my French, is some original gangsta shit right there. And the kids these days think they know journo-blogging …

Oh, and if you think that’s impressive, today is also the anniversary of Cam Barrett’s site, CamWorld, which started up three years before mine. Was and is one of my favorites, even if the updates have been few and far between lately.
